Residential & Supportive Living Services

Supportive, transitional and independent living options designed around dignity, stability, choice and a sense of home.

Golden Chapters Living serves adults across a range of needs and seasons of life. Our approach is person-centered—built around the needs, preferences, goals and circumstances of each individual rather than a one-size-fits-all model. Below is what each program is, where it stands today, and how to ask about it.

I/DD residential habilitation

For adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities

A home that adapts to the person — never the other way around.

Person-centered residential support for eligible adults, including eligible young adults age 18 and older, with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our approach emphasizes dignity, choice, independence, skill development, community inclusion and individualized support. Golden Chapters Living is pursuing the applicable Delaware DDDS authorization for this service.

We begin with a conversation and a person-centered support plan, then we build the day around the individual: what they can do, what they want to learn, and where they want a little more support. Residents receive assistance with daily living — meals, hygiene, medication reminders and household routines — alongside coaching in life skills that grow independence over time. Our team provides compassionate supervision and encouragement, never a schedule that runs over someone.

The aim is steady progress and genuine belonging: a place of one’s own, neighbors who know you, and staff who show up the same way every week.

What this includes

  • Individualized support plan and regular reviews
  • Daily living assistance and medication reminders
  • Life-skills coaching, from cooking to money basics
  • Community access, recreation and outings
  • Coordination with families, guardians and case managers
Structured sober living

Structured sober living

A steady, sober environment built on routine

Recovery holds better when the environment holds steady.

Golden Chapters Living’s planned sober-living program is intended to provide adults in recovery with a structured, substance-free residential environment that supports stability, accountability and continued progress toward independent living. Structure is the point: consistent house expectations, morning routines that start well, chores that make a house a home, and people around who understand the work.

Residents are encouraged to stay connected to their own recovery community and appointments. The planned model will emphasize clear house expectations, personal responsibility, daily structure and connection with appropriate community-based recovery resources.

What we ask is effort and honesty. What we offer is a stable home, dignity, and a team that keeps believing in you on the days you find it hard to believe in yourself.

What this includes

  • Substance-free, structured house environment
  • Clear house expectations and accountability
  • Encouragement to stay engaged with recovery supports
  • Life-skills and employment readiness support
  • Structured accountability and regular resident check-ins

Re-entry transitional living

For people returning to the community

A dignified place to land, and a real plan for what comes next.

Coming home after incarceration is one of the hardest transitions there is. Our planned re-entry transitional living program is intended to provide adults returning to the community with stable housing and practical support as they work toward employment, independent living and long-term stability.

Our approach recognizes each person as an individual with goals, strengths and a future—not simply by their past.

Residents work on the practical pieces of a stable life — employment readiness, budgeting, identification and documentation, appointments, and repairing relationships where that is possible. The planned program will help residents identify and connect with appropriate community resources and services.

Transitional living is transitional on purpose. The goal is that a resident moves on stronger: employed, housed and connected, with a support network they can keep.

What this includes

  • Safe, stable transitional housing
  • Employment readiness and job-search support
  • Budgeting and financial life-skills coaching
  • Help with identification, documentation and appointments
  • Referral connections to community services and mental-health providers

As this program is developed, Golden Chapters will provide clear information about eligibility, available supports, staffing and the level of care the program is authorized to provide.
